Crabapple Middle School

New Facility Construction

The Crabapple Middle School Replacement project is a 189,764 SF school built to replace the existing Crabapple Middle School in the heart of Roswell, Georgia. The school has 76 instructional units with the capacity to educate 1,225 students each year and was designed with educational “wings” dedicated to each area of study, including music and the arts, and career, technical, and agricultural education (CTAE). The music and arts wing houses two large arts labs, as well as an orchestral room, band room, and chorus room. The CTAE wing is home to a fully equipped construction lab and teaching classroom, as well as a graphics computer lab and business lab. The school also has a large gymnasium with a stage and state-of-the-art theatrical lighting and sound system for theater performances, in addition to basketball, volleyball, and badminton courts for the students and community. Near the rear of the school is a modern media center with breakout study spaces and a large amphitheater for student gatherings. Around the exterior of the school are two basketball courts, four tennis courts, and a large track and playfield for school athletics.
